Indian Corn Treats

The other day a friend of mine made this recipe as a part of a Family Home Evening Idea Night for her Relief Society. So today I thought I'd make them for a few of my neighbors! They turned out really cute...and they taste good too! Here is the recipe for anyone who is interested:

Indian Corn Treats
¼ cup (1/2 stick) Butter or Margarine
1 Package (10.5 oz) Mini Marshmallows
Yellow Food Coloring
4 Cups Reese’s Puffs Cereal
4 Cups Kix Cereal
10 Lollipop Sticks or Popsicle sticks

1.Line Large baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside.
2.Melt butter in large heavy saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows, stir until melted and smooth. Tint with food coloring until desired shade is reached. Add cereal; stir until evenly coated. Remove from heat.
3.With lightly greased hands, quickly divide mixture into 10 oblong pieces. Push lollipop stick halfway into each piece; shape like ear of corn. Place on prepared baking sheet. Let stand until set.

An Afternoon with my girls!

Today was a blast! Annie, Maggie, and I spent the afternoon at the River feeding the ducks!

I loved spending time with my family! Friday my sister Gretchen came up to Woodland Park to get me and we spent the evening with her husband Elden and my brother Will, his wife Brandi, and their kids! Then I headed back down to Florence to spend the night at my parents house! On Saturday my sister Kelley and her two girls Lauren & Enea came down and we spent most of the day just with the girls! (My Aunt Nelle was down visiting my mom, so it was nice to see her too!) We went shopping, and then my mom treated us to a yummy lunch at Big Burger World! Then that evening we had a nice dinner on the back pourch with my Grandaddy and Uncle Tom! Good times!

Weekend In Colorado

Jordon and I were able to travel back to Colorado this past weekend! While Jordon spent most of his time trying to shoot himself an elk, I had a great time hanging out with Carrie and my family! It was a great weekend but I am sure glad to be back home!

Trek across Rocky Ridge

Jordon and I had the opportunity to go on a trek with our stake to Rocky Ridge and Martin's Cove. It was an amazing experience! Make you really appreciate what you have. In two days we walked..well pulled a hand cart..over 30 miles! I know we have nothing on the pioneers but it was humbling to walk a few miles in their foot steps.
I highly recomend it!

Family Reunion at Willow Park

5 Year Anniversary!!!

Today...well yesterday now...was Jordon and I's 5 year anniversary! We've been together eight years but time is flying so fast, I can hardly believe we've been married five years! I Love Jordon so much! I am very lucky to have him! To celebrate we took a little trip to Bear Lake! It was so beautiful!
